30th DVPW Convention, 7–10 September 2027, Leipzig University
The Programme Committee has accepted a total of 80 open panel proposals for the DVPW Convention in September 2027. The panels will take place on 7-10 September 2027, spread over eight time slots, each 90 minutes long. The Programme Committee now issues the call for papers for these open panels. You can find all panel descriptions by the panel chairs on the DVPW website.
Please note the following rules:
Each proposal must include the title, a short abstract (max. 2,000 characters), and all authors of the contribution.
Panels can be held in English or German, but the language needs to be consistent throughout each individual session. Therefore, please apply with your contribution in the language in which the panel is advertised.
Each person can propose a maximum of two contributions as author or co-author to panels at the convention. Roles as discussant are not limited.
We welcome participants from abroad. There will be the opportunity for panel chairs to apply for subsidies towards travel expenses by the German Research Foundation (DFG) through the DVPW.
Please submit your proposal for a contribution by 31 October 2026 via the portal meineDVPW.
The panel chairs will then select four to five contributions for their panel and communicate their decisions including proposals for at least one discussant to the Programme Committee by the end of November 2026. The Programme Committee will review the proposals in December and, if necessary, consult with the panel chairs on the acceptance of individual contributions. The Programme Committee will issue the final acceptance or rejection of individual contributions by the end of this year.
