Call for Papers

29th DVPW Convention, September 24 – 27, 2024, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen

The Programme Committee has accepted a total of 98 open panel proposals for the DVPW Convention in September 2024. The panels will take place on September 24-27, 2024, spread over seven time slots, each 90 minutes long. The Programme Committee now issues the call for papers for these open panels. You can find all panel descriptions by the panel organizers on the DVPW website. 

Please note the following rules:

• Each proposal must include the title, a short abstract (max. 250 words), and all authors of the contribution.
• Panels can be held in English or German, but the language needs to be consistent throughout each individual session. Therefore, please apply with your contribution in the language in which the panel is advertised. 
• Each person can propose a maximum of two contributions to panels and roundtables at the convention. The role as discussant does not count. 
• We welcome participants from abroad. There will be the opportunity to apply for subsidies towards travel expenses by the German Research Foundation (DFG) through the DVPW.

Please submit your proposal for a contribution by October 31, 2023 via the submission form on the DVPW website. 

The organizers of the open panels select four to five contributions for their panel and inform the Programme Committee of the result by the end of November 2023. The Programme Committee reviews the proposals in December and, if necessary, consults with the panel organizers on the acceptance of individual contributions. The final acceptance or rejection of individual contributions will take place in mid-January 2024.
