Bewerbungsfrist: 12.06.2022

weitere Informationen

The Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies is offering a one-year fellowship for researchers (m/f/d) in economic sociology or political economy.

The fellowship is intended for researchers who were working at an academic and/or research institution in Ukraine in February 2022 and have been displaced by the war.

Applicants are asked to submit a curriculum vitae and a research proposal outlining a project to be pursued at the MPIfG (up to 3 pages). Further information on how to apply is available here.

Selection will be based on a record of scholarly excellence and a job interview. The selected researcher will have an office at the MPIfG and is expected to actively participate in the intellectual life of the Institute. Residence in the Cologne area for the period of the fellowship is required.

Within the permissible boundaries, priority for the advertised fellowship will be given to applications from highly qualified researchers who have been displaced by the war in Ukraine. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree. Any preferential consideration of the stated group of researchers is excluded if reasons worthy of legal protection, which lie in the qualification and/or person of another candidate, prevail.

The deadline for applications is June 12, 2022 (23:59 CEST). Applicants will be notified whether or not they have been successful at the end of July. The starting date for the postition is the earliest possible date.
